Crown Lifts

The C3 Roofing & Cladding team is pleased to highlight the successful completion of the Crown Lifts project — a comprehensive roof upgrade designed to enhance performance, efficiency, and future adaptability, all carried out safely over a fully operational unit.

The works began with the careful removal of the existing outer skin of the roof, allowing us to introduce significant improvements to the building’s thermal performance. New rooflights were installed as part of the redesign, dramatically improving natural light levels while contributing to overall energy efficiency. The entire outer skin of the roof was then renewed using high-quality materials supplied by Firth Steels, ensuring a robust, modern finish built to stand the test of time.

A key element of the upgrade included the full recoating of the gutters using Giromax, providing long-term protection against corrosion and ensuring reliable water management for years ahead. The project also involved 3,600m² of over-cladding, utilising durable TATA Steel cladding sheets to deliver a clean, professional exterior that complements the performance improvements made above.

In keeping with the client’s forward-thinking approach, the rooflight layout and overall design were adjusted to accommodate future photovoltaic (PV) installation, ensuring the building is ready for renewable energy upgrades whenever required.

Working over a live unit required meticulous planning, close coordination, and strict safety measures — all of which the C3 Roofing & Cladding team delivered without disruption to the business below.
